What is an AI chatbot?

An AI chatbot is a software application that uses artificial intelligence to replicate human communication. It can communicate verbally, via text, gestures, or physically. A chatbot with artificial intelligence is taught to think like a person using the information base that is available to them. Based on their intelligence, they can automatically provide you with information and solve your problems.
Businesses choose AI chatbots because they may enhance user experience and save back on customer support expenses. AI is capable of providing instantaneous customer service. AI chatbots powered by conversational AI systems are excellent at comprehending customer requests and providing customized and pertinent responses. Around 80% of the frequently asked questions by customers have answers available.
People enjoy using chatbots because, according to Drift, 90% of their experiences with them are good or neutral. As a result, companies that choose to use chatbots will undoubtedly enjoy greater customer preference. With the ability to connect continually with customers and enhance their experience, chatbots can streamline employee workflows, save money and resources, and increase revenue.
Generative AI content has been making waves since last November 2022.

What is Generative AI content?

Computers may now plausibly display creativity thanks to generative AI. With the data, they've absorbed and user interactions, they can create quality content responding to inquiries. In an article published by management consulting firm McKinsey before the end of last year, the generative artificial intelligence (AI) language model- ChatGPT, has written the first paragraph.

Since Open AI launched ChatGPT, people have been using AI to create content for business purposes, education, and even personal motives.

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT, an AI-powered chatbot, uses machine learning to answer queries conversationally. OpenAI released ChatGPT on November 30th, 2022. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, claims that ChatGPT attracted a million active users in just five days.

GPT-3 is a language model trained on online text written by people. Chatgpt utilizes GPT-3 to create responses.

The following are examples of common ChatGPT content produced by AI:

Blog postings, written code, and product descriptions, Email drafts, synopses of meetings, transcripts, and podcasts, straightforward explanations of complex subjects, legal filings, translations, jokes or memes, and social media updates.

Google's answer to Microsoft was Bard.

What is Bard?

Bard leverages Google's Language Model for Dialogue Apps (LaMDA) and the internet. With the help of this language model, Bard will answer inquiries in greater detail than the ordinary Google search. The second, lighter version of LaMDA uses less CPU power, enabling a larger user base and better feedback collection. Bard is presently undergoing Beta testing.

Similar to digital assistants like Alexa and Siri, Bard's major objective is to provide people with information in the form of a straightforward response instead of a search engine result. Bard will also serve as a personal assistant, helping people with errands like making travel arrangements, locating reservations, and meal preparation.

Customers can type a query through ChatGPT and Bard's services to receive an answer that sounds human. Chatgpt has been accessible to the general public, and people have started using it for various purposes. But Bard is open only to a group of certain testers and will be available shortly. The main point here is

How to use Bard AI Chatbot?

Google Bard is now only available to a select group of beta testers, but it will likely be available to more people in the next weeks and months. With indications of ChatGPT's successful development at the beginning of 2022, CEO Sundar Pichai first expedited the implementation of Google Bard.

Bard vs ChatGPT

The key differences between Chatgpt and Bard are represented here:

Bard

ChatGPT

Still announced by Google

Launched by OpenAI, supported by Microsoft

Bard will respond in real-time

Chatgpt answers queries from its database from 2021 and before

It is constructed on LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications)

It is constructed on GPT (Generative pre trained transformer)

It will be free

It has a free and paid plan option

No plagiarism tool present

A built-in plagiarism tool is a present called GPT –2 output detector

It will be integrated with Google Chrome

It is integrated with Microsoft Bing

Still in the beta testing phase

The official site of OpenAI can access it. Bing, too can be used in testing

It is free for tested users right now

The paid version of Chatgpt plus is now available in the USA

The data source is the primary distinction between ChatGPT and Bard. Bard will regularly access the internet to find material and make sure it is updated. ChatGPT exclusively uses information from sources and research that are more recent and have an expiration date after 2021. Bard will be equipped to gather information in real-time thanks to exposure to the most recent studies. For dialogue applications, Bard makes use of GPT 3.5, while ChatGPT makes use of LaMDA.

LaMDA was created using an open platform to understand natural language. It is trained to search for connections in and between words rather than using single words to create dialogue.

ChatGPT responds to a single text input, whereas Bard generates additional information in smaller parts.

ChatGPT has a free and a premium tier. Even though the free edition occasionally has a significant wait, anyone can try out its features. Google Bard is currently only available to a restricted group of beta testers; the general public cannot use it yet.

Although ChatGPT and Google Bard are quite comparable natural language AI chatbots, they differ in a few key

ways and, for the moment, are designed to be used in various scenarios. ChatGPT has been used to give direct answers to questions, but it has also demonstrated an exceptional ability for creative writing, albeit occasionally having concerns with authenticity and plagiarism.

To help consumers find the best results, Microsoft has integrated ChatGPT into its Bing search engine. This enables users to ask direct questions as opposed to using keywords. It has been integrated into the Teams communications platform and will shortly be accessible on the Edge browser in a restricted manner. Moreover, Opera has stated that ChatGPT will be added in the future. But it has also become an automated system for companies that do not have the resources to pay for human staff.

While ChatGPT has a built-in plagiarism checker, Google Bard does not, and it may not already have all of ChatGPT's innovative uses. Although Google Bard is also built using data from recent years, ChatGPT is confined in its present GPT3 model to data obtained before 2022 and is based on substantially older data.

Conclusion

Without question, Microsoft's ChatGPT was the first and most powerful strike. Google, though, seems to have reacted to Microsoft's answer abruptly and made mistakes in the process. Yet, it is still too early to say which Generative AI model will be more effective, accurate, or widely adopted.

ChatGPT appears to provide straightforward responses and references for the created summary. It is crucial to remember that any platform for generative artificial intelligence is only as precise, pertinent, and helpful as the data it consumes and analyses.

Although Google Bard and Microsoft's ChatGPT currently appear ahead, Google Search has long held the indisputable top spot. While its search platform purportedly handles over 99,000 queries every second, Google has much more data. It would therefore be wise to hold off and let the two platforms develop.
