The platform set up on WordPress and WooCommerce was creating bottlenecks. Slow page loading and sluggish checkout badly impacted the shopping experience. Plus, the complex catalog featuring multiple materials was tough to manage. Hard-coded fitment data caused shopping confusion and errors.
International operations like regional pricing, shipping, and restrictions were prone to errors.
Modernized marketing and analytical tools were also not supported due to plugin conflicts. The platform was not able to support expansion or serve the expected consumer experience.
We migrated Dekoni’s online store from WooCommerce to Shopify with our “User-First, Admin-Easy” approach to redesign the customer shopping experience. All data and features were shifted, and we made it easier to filter and find products. So now the new Shopify store does everything the old one did, plus comes with modern upgrades to support future scalability.
Key Upgrades We Built
We merged hundreds of standalone SKUs into single product pages with material/style toggles using Shopify migration tools paired with a PIM strategy. This resulted in a clean and easy-to-scroll catalog.
Using Shopify Metaobjects and custom Liquid code, we centralized fitment data and rendered it across product pages. The result we got?! Zero manual updates.
We redesigned the “Find Your Pads” feature built with Shopify Metaobjects & custom storefront filtering, enabling customers to filter compatible accessories in three clicks through an intuitive visual interface.
Implemented controlled B-Stock inventory visibility using Shopify smart collection and custom variant tags, so that discounted items appear in designated sections without cluttering to the main store, resulting in additional sales.
Re-created the bundle‑and‑match configurator via custom Shopify theme development with AJAX-driven APIs to ensure a smooth checkout flow with better speed and security.
The migration was completed on time with zero downtime. So now Dekoni operates on a rapid, reliable, and secure platform.
