TL;DR

Lucent Innovation organized a health awareness camp in collaboration with Shivam Charitable Trust, offering free diabetes, blood pressure, and eye checkups to employees, supporting the company's commitment to team well-being and social responsibility.

The company places great importance on the health, happiness, and peace of mind of its people, not just during work hours but beyond. To support this commitment, Lucent Innovation held a Health Awareness Camp at the workplace in collaboration with the Shivam Charitable Trust.

A Day Dedicated to Health

This initiative aimed to inform people about health issues they could prevent and reach those who needed it, including employees and the surrounding community. Instead of expecting individuals to go find healthcare, we decided to bring healthcare to them. It had a clear purpose: your health is your greatest asset. With how busy life gets between work and personal tasks, regular health checkups often get overlooked. We organized this event to make it easier to prioritize health, even if for a single day.

What the Camp Covered

The health camp offered three key screenings that address some of the most prevalent and often silent health conditions affecting working professionals today.

Not only employees but also our honorable CTO, Mr. Ashish Kasma, and CEO, Mr. Nitesh Kasma, took part in the camp to encourage every team to get their checkup done.

Diabetes Awareness & Screening

Diabetes ranks as an increasing health issue in India. Many people live with this condition. The camp provided blood sugar tests and an educational session aimed at explaining early diabetes symptoms, daily habits, lifestyle triggers, and how food choices affect health. To manage existing diabetes, attendees used this opportunity to get tested and talk with healthcare experts about improving control.

Blood Pressure Checkup

High blood pressure is often known as the "silent killer" because it shows no clear signs. The screening let employees find out their current blood pressure status. Employees with higher readings received advice on what to do next, tips on dietary changes, and an explanation of why it matters to see a doctor on time.

Eye Checkup

People in the tech industry often spend long hours looking at screens, which raises concerns about eye health that don’t always get enough attention. Eye checkups play a key role in spotting early signs of strain, worsening vision, or other issues. If these problems are ignored, they can affect both daily life and work efficiency.

More Than a Checkup: A Conversation About Lifestyle

What made this camp stand out was not just the screenings themselves, but the conversations that happened around them. Health professionals engaged with attendees, answered questions, and offered personalized guidance, converting what could have been a routine health drive into a genuine awareness experience.

Employees left not just with their health numbers, but with knowledge. Knowledge about what those numbers mean, what changes to consider, and when to seek further medical attention.

Gratitude to Shivam Charitable Trust

None of this would have been possible without the dedication of the Shivam Charitable Trust, whose team brought their expertise, equipment, and compassion to make the day a success. Their commitment to community health aligns deeply with our own values at Lucent Innovation. We are grateful for their partnership and look forward to more such collaborations in the future.

Why This Matters to Us?

At Lucent Innovation, creating a great product company means we also focus on creating an amazing team culture. We ensure our people feel valued not just at work but as individuals too. Hosting initiatives like health camps shows our dedication to creating a space where our team knows they matter.

We understand that our role isn’t just confined to our office. The goal was to build a healthier and more informed society, even if it’s just a small step. To us, culture is about being there for one another, prioritizing what’s important, and building something we can be proud of, both in the workplace and beyond.

Together, we grow in health, in knowledge, and in purpose.
